Sheets
An AI assistant for your Smartsheet account — it reads and documents your setup, answers questions grounded in live data, makes multi-sheet changes you approve, and exports on a schedule.

Open Sheets ↗- Open Settings → Connection. Paste a Smartsheet API access token (in Smartsheet: Account → Personal Settings → API Access). It's verified, then stored encrypted and never shown again.
- Optionally add a Failover (backup) token — ideally from a different Smartsheet user. AppFrunk switches to it automatically when your primary token hits its 300 requests/minute limit, then switches back.
- Each member connects their own token; an admin can share one connection org-wide instead.
- See live Workspaces and Sheets counts. Click ↻ on a tile to recompute now.
- An admin sets how often counts refresh (Daily / Every 6 hours / Hourly) from the dropdown.
- The Smartsheet API tile shows how much of your per-minute limit you've used — and, if you added a backup token, both tokens' usage and which is active.
- Open Browse to see your live workspaces → folders → sheets (read live; nothing is stored).
- Open a sheet to view its Columns and Formulas (types, symbols, dropdown options) and its shares.
- Use ↻ Refresh to bypass the short cache, 'Analyze workspace' to build AI documentation + a cross-sheet impact map, and the per-sheet AI Documentation view.
- Use 'Edit column (with impact check)' to change a column and see what it affects first.
- Open Chat. Ask about your setup in plain English; attach or paste screenshots (up to 10 images) for analysis.
- Describe a change and it proposes edits (add/update columns or rows, bulk-set a column, share, rename/copy a sheet…) across up to 10 sheets.
- Each proposal shows an impact panel (same-sheet, cross-sheet, and pipeline effects); high-impact changes ask you to confirm you understand before you Approve.
- Nothing changes in Smartsheet until you Approve (Approve all / Deny all available). Only admins can apply changes.
- Open Auto-Export (Default Admin). Add a flow: pick a sheet, a destination folder under the shared AppFrunk Microsoft folder, and a filename.
- Choose the trigger: on change (debounced) or on a schedule (every N minutes).
- Exports are one-way Excel workbooks. Tip: export to the 'Database' folder to feed the Database & reports import.
- Manage each flow: Export now, Pause/Resume, or Delete.
- Open History to see a log of AI-applied changes — what changed, whether it succeeded, and when (Eastern time).
- Contacts: a read-only list of your Smartsheet contacts, which powers the contact-column picker in Browse.
- Rules (admin): free-text guidance the assistant follows — your conventions and do's/don'ts.
- Pipelines (admin): record your DataMesh / Data Shuttle setups (type them or upload a screenshot for AI to document). These feed the impact map — the app documents and guides pipelines, it doesn't change them in Smartsheet.
